This collaborative project was an extension of original evening length work, Catch and Release, and was in residence at I AM Logan Square Gallery for the month of December 2012. Memento is an exhibit of dance, textile, and dance film that invites the viewer to experience multiple art forms simultaneously. dropshift dance collaborates with dance film artist artist Nadia Oussenko and visual artist Ashley Sullivan in an investigation of memento as recalled through memory and location. The work explores themes of memory distortion, perception, and recall, translated through the mediums of movement, short film vignettes, and graphic screen print design as well as painting on paper and canvas.
